Collaboration
Read More

The joint effort of our whole community working together to achieve our common goal: 'Lifelong learners, with open minds' is integral to all we do at Harrison. Learning to communicate with others effectively, share ideas and become confident learners enables all children to become self-confident, successful learners.

Honesty
Read More

We strive to teach children to develop a strong desire to do what is right and be true to themselves and others. Honesty is a characteristic that will help children to become great friends and excellent learners; it links to the 'responsibility' part of our 'Harrison Learning Tree'.

Equality
Read More

Our children learn to be part of the Harrison learning community as unique 'citizens'. Children are taught to respect and value all members of our school - we promote equality and inclusion. We teach our children that prejudice and discrimination have no place here.

Respect
Read More

We believe that teaching children respect helps them to become successful learners and responsible 'citizens'. Genuine respect is a basic building block of all social emotional learning - we teach our children that respect is about caring how they impact others; developing positive relationships are crucial for happiness and success at school. Respect underpins the 'Harrison Learning Tree'.

Responsibility
Read More

This means helping children to do things they are expected to do and accepting the positive or negative outcomes of their actions. Every minute in a school day is a 'teachable moment' where children can learn to be the best learners that they can, be accountable for what they say and do and be considerate of others.
